Good stuff!

Not as outlandish as previous 'Steve's, but quite entertaining.
Biggest criticism would be that generally there can be a lot more movement, facial expressions etc.
Loved the retro outro though!
Looking forward to Steve 4 ;)

Neo-Egyptian responds:

Thanks a lot! And yeah I'll definitely work on the movement issues, gotta keep things progressive!

It's finally out ^_^

Glad to see you finally released it Tim, it looks great. I still say those black bars at the top and bottom should be removed, but there's no reasoning with you :P The artwork was good, it was lacking in sound effects but I suppose they might have detracted from the music. The cameos of the Sprite and Shade and the Wump Kidnapper were my favourite parts :P Oh yeah, and Munch's brilliant voice acting :D You should be proud of this, now go make 'Bug Catching'! :)

Edukator responds:

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review. (not many people notice all the other creatures in there)

Congrats on the three years! :)

"You straight up ATE a box of cake mix?!" - I think I'm going to remember that one :D I gave a 1 for violence, for the tire slashing....which definately wasn't the penguin. Nice to see you went the extra length to refine some minor details, such as the paper rolling up, the cloud coming out of the cake mix box, and the text on the back of the paper. It's small things like those which really add to the overall experience of the flash, it's a pity alot of animators overlook small details. I liked this short, it was entertaining, and informative. We finally know why the space penguins bob when they talk! Congrats once again on the milestone :)

JKR responds:

Well thanks for the kind words! Yes, those minor details are something I'd like to start including in all Fred cartoons. It can be tough sometimes, doing all the animation myself and still getting one toon out a week, but I'm going to try and start adding more and more little touches that will hopefully bring the level of quality up over time. Thanks for the great review!
(And by the way, they're space CHICKENS, not penguins =) but don't worry, everyone says they look like penguins)

Not bad, funny dialogue.

Very Knox-esque dialogue, ending was funny.

Poor red guy :P

pjdavid responds:

now that i watch it, it does seem kind of like knox's. thats not necessarily a bad thing, so thanks!

Haha, very nice intro, Rupee Clock, great.

And am I mistaken or is that F-Zero music in the easter egg? w000t, Go Captain Falcon !!!!

RupeeClock responds:

Yes, that be an F-Zero midi I found. :)

Thanks for the review!

Very good for a preview, makes me want to see more

The stars in the beginning were done very well, enough layers to make it look realistic, very nicely done. I thought the part witht he angel/clock flying and the text in the sky was done brilliantly, very original, the background suited it. Not sure if everyone else noticed but the superman depressed kid has a rollover function where he says "Nobody Loves Me". The only thing I found a bit confusing was the 'Tip THe Hat' at the end? I thought it was a replay button, but clearly not....what's up with that? Overall, great preview, very nicely done, great atmoshpere.

P.S Check out my movies to see a preview I did for a quick ego boost, urs is about 70 times bettet than mine :P

Creatus responds:

Thanks. The depressed kid was actually not so much of my creation, but more Tim Burton's 'Smudge Boy. Glad you found the Easter Egg. The preloader music was a Demo Song in the program FruityLoops. The 'Tip The Hat' Is just a little slogan, no replay buttons, didn't think anyone would want to watch it twice. :P

Great Review!

Interesting....very unique style.

Interesting flash. It started off with a very eerie feeling, as she looked across at the green star with her hair and dress rustling in the wind, it was a very ominous scene. However I must say I did laugh when she fell off the floating rock, it just happened so suddenly, it was kind of funny, i'm not sure if that was the reaction you were aiming for?

Your alternation between the two artistic styles, that with detail and colour, and the closeups done in black/white, was very well done. One would expect that kind of changing between styles to make the animation appear 'choppy', but you accomplished that very well.

I must say, most of my points here are for style, it was done very well, story line was a little....i dont know, not 'all there', if you know what I mean, it kind of felt like there needed to be more, but overall, very well done. Kudos.

notorious responds:

Thanks for the good review! Well, no i wasn't aiming for the girl falling off the rock to be funny. It was more of a suicide thing. But anyways, glad you liked the movie!

Started out kinda slow but got very funny.

Hahaha, nice. It started kinda slow, but you already stated that. I searched for the easter eggs for about 10 minutes before finally resolving to go to the easteregg help page...only to realise that the schwarzenagger (how the f*ck do you spell his name?!) conversation at the end of the credits was one of the easter eggs :P

VERY FUNNY

Techneon responds:

yeah, most people these days just X as soon as the credits come up so I counted that one.

thanks for taking the time to hunt the eggs down

Very nicely done!

I loved that, it was so simple....yet so affective. Could you possibly send me the swf for that at benniegoodfellow@hotmail? Thanks, that was terrific.

NewEvolution responds:

Why thanks. It's been a while since I did anything and this was fun.

As for the .swf, you can download it right off of NG. I won't tell you how however. Check out the forum at www.newgrounds.com/bbs and search for topics. I'm sure you'll find it, and if not, the BBS rocks out.

And I look into the sky and wonder...
